MICHELIN BORNOUT SOLE RACING
CHARACTERISTICS
MICHELIN BORNOUT SOLE RACING
The Michelin®Burnout sole, designed in conjunction with Michelin and professional riders across various racing disciplines, was created to deliver outstanding performance when it comes to controlling the bike at extreme speeds. The specially developed sole compound guarantees that the RT RACE PRO AIR racing boot provides maximum grip on the pedals, superior stability and excellent resistance to asphalt abrasion. The Michelin® Burnout sole features macro grooves to increase grip and triangular micro grooves to ensure stability on the pedals. The heel angle is customized to maintain the foot's grip on the foot peg and slide quickly when required. The Race compound sole is also highly resistant to abrasion and heat as well as providing maximum non-slip grip on dry and wet ground.
ORTHOLITE FOOTBED
CHARACTERISTICS
ORTHOLITE FOOTBED
OrthoLite® insoles were developed to ensure optimal comfort and maximum support for the sole of the foot, combined with maximum breathability in all conditions. OrthoLite® insoles offer: - Long-lasting cushioning, due to OrthoLite® polyurethane foam designed to provide consistent cushioning, fit and long-lasting comfort. Less than 5% of its thickness is compressed over the lifecycle of the insole, so its properties never change. - High breathability for perfect thermal comfort thanks to the OrthoLite® open-cell foam that allows air to circulate in and around the insole, driving moisture away and keeping the foot cool and dry.
F.F.C. FASTEN FIT CONTROL
ERGONOMICS
F.F.C. FASTEN FIT CONTROL
The special Fasten Fit Control fastening system allows the fit of the TCX boot to be customized with pinpoint accuracy. The internal fastening system features long-lasting laces joined to the boot's lining, and a newly designed padded tongue to provide a greater level of comfort. The system ensures that the upper wraps around the foot, providing the most precise fit and maximum feel while riding.
D.F.C. DOUBLE FLEX CONTROL RACING
PERFORMANCE SHOCK
D.F.C. DOUBLE FLEX CONTROL RACING
The Double Flex Control [D.F.C.] system is a unique ankle structure that offers the perfect balance between freedom of movement and joint support, preventing unwanted bending and twisting. The D.F.C. features a PU structure attached to the boot with two hidden side screws on the heel buttress, at the level of the ankle. The system features two tabs at the back of the boot that slide inside special safety lock pockets that permit up to 13 degrees of flexibility to the rear to prevent hyperextension of the ankle joint and a similar 14 degrees of flexibility at the front to limit potential hyperflexion. The system’s PU frame is thin and contoured around the boot to provide a flat inner surface, which allows good grip on the bike and prevents it getting caught up while riding. The D.F.C. system is designed to offer a higher level of protection even in the event of a collision; the heel buttress was developed to absorb the energy from the impact and is equipped with rear and side sliders to aid natural sliding in the event of a fall.
MAGNESIUM SLIDER (TOE, HEEL)
PERFORMANCE SHOCK
MAGNESIUM SLIDER (TOE, HEEL)
The magnesium sliders on TCX boots allow optimal toe sliding on asphalt during the sharpest bends, with maximum abrasion resistance, reducing the risk of dangerous twisting in the event of a fall. Located on the toe and heel, they are made of a lightweight and durable material, ideal for containing the weight of the boot and ensuring safety and extended performance.
